On 19 June, Millenáris invites you to stretch out on the grass and soak up the sounds of summer with a free open-air concert by the Duna Symphony Orchestra. Part of the Millenáris Zenei Piknik Neked series, this cheerful evening promises well-loved classical pieces and nostalgic film scores, all set against the leafy charm of Buda’s cultural park.
Expect timeless tunes from Tom and Jerry, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, and Snow White, brought to life by talented soloists Bácsy-Schwartz Zoltán and Kéringer Lőrinc under the baton of conductor Gábor Horváth. Don’t forget to bring a cosy blanket, your favourite people, and a good mood! The music begins at 7 pm in front of the National Dance Theatre—but in case of rain, the show moves to the nearby Glass Hall (entry on a first-come, first-served basis).
