In Dániel Váczi’s self-developed musical system, every pitch has its own fixed place on a bar, so a given melody is almost automatically assigned pre-determined rhythms. Still, it’s possible to improvise, even within the constraints of these strict rules – and once mastered, they might as well be broken. By knowing a set system, you can start experimenting with a corresponding, broad range of tools: If there was no gravity to restrain us and hold us to the ground– how would we dance?
The evening will start with the improvised contemporary solo set of the French guitar virtuoso, Guillaume Gargaud.
