Magda Szabó
was born 100 years ago, on October 5, 1917. On occasion of this anniversary, the
Petőfi Literary Museum
organizes a large-scale exhibition. Magda Szabó builds a private mythology around her own ancestors in her writings: the exhibition’s main theme is her family tree that displays the novelist’s relatives with photographs and what roles these people play roles in her works.
