I Am Soyuz is a project of Hungarian singer-songwriter Felícia Lili Bozóky. She creates music using a variety of unique instruments, like the ukulele, guitar, melodica, omnichord, banjo and pocket piano. Along with the singing, they create a fusion of space-pop, acoustic and synthpop. Her debut album Whipple is inspired by her adventures and travels in recent years, camping in the Nevada desert at the Burning Man Festival, running from a pack of rhinos in South Africa, jamming on the streets of Rome and sleeping in a barn in the Arctic. The term Whipple refers to a medical procedure, when the stomach is opened surgically to remove inner parts. Similarly, but likely in a less painful way, the album releases the dreams, the fears and the experiences of the past.
