The Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra will be giving four online chamber concerts from 3 to 18 April, as well as a memorial to Béla Bartók from the Pesti Vigadó. And they’re all free! The series starts on 3 April with Baroque rarities by Jean-Marie Leclair, Melchior Franck and Johann Hermann Schein. On 7 April, 11 works by ten composers should enchant listeners with melodies by Edvard Grieg, Mozart and Henry Purcell, among others. The theme on 14 April will be tragedy, with pieces by Christoph Willibald Gluck and Händel, while Mozart's string quartet in G major and Bach's suite in B minor features on 17 April. The next day, the HNPO pays tribute to Béla Bartók, with the National Choir under the baton of Gábor Hontvári, performing at the Pesti Vigadó.
