Norway
’s increasingly popular label
Hubro
has become one of the most influential
jazz/improv
labels in the country. The unique design of their albums and their logo of a flying owl suggest that the label is a center for bands with extraordinary talent and creative minds.
Two trios will make their debut at
Trafó
, playing for the first time in Hungary as well.

Huntsville
produce striking and original sounds best described as an adventurous crossbreed of abstract drones, yoga country, and krautrock. They will set out on a spring tour in Europe to promote their 5th album. They have collaborated with musicians such as Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth) and Nels Cline & Glenn Kotche (Wilco), as well as Sidsel Endresen.

Cakewalk
is a group with sweeping intensity from the young, up-and-coming generation, counterpointing think and dense sound streams with well-timed introspective sound collages. Their improvisational music is the exceptional and unstable mix of motoric krautrock, industrial electronic music, and unorthodox post-punk. They sound a bit like Radiohead would without Thom Yorke.
