This exhibition at the Budapest Gallery is the fourth in a series of annual events aiming at presenting one particular type of artistic relationship. For this year’s works, it’s the highly personal one between the artist and the future owners of his or her work, as well as its connection to a specific time or occasion, such as a birthday. Works created under such circumstances often require a deep understanding of the person who is receiving the present. Artists now share the stories behind each gift, along with a brief account of the social act of giving.
