The members of Estonia’s
Elephants From Neptune
could be the secret love children of
Dave Grohl
with their honest and scratchy rock, killer
guitar riffs
and boundless energies. This Friday you can experience the power of the Estonain elephants’ pounding sound at their first Hungarian gig at Kuplung.
Warm-up by
Voodoo Papa Duo
and
Soulbreakers
from 8:30 pm.
The first, independently released studio album of
Elephants From Neptune
came out in 2012, and the band was signed to Fullsteam, one of the most prestigious labels in Finland within a year. The ink on their contract hadn’t even dried when in 2013 they won the grand prize, Skype’s “Go Change The World” prize at Tallinn Music Week, the Baltic’s biggest showcase festival. The award is given out every year to the band playing the best gig, based on votes from festival organizers, managers and journalists all over the world.
The impressive accolade has started the careers of such performers as
Ewert and The Two Dragons
, who have since then toured the world, performing in Hungary two years ago, and
Iiris
, who’s been heralded as the descendant of
Björk
.
