Bonobo
,
Catching Flies
finally comes to Budapest! It is no accident that anything he puts up on Soundloud ends up with 100,000+ listens.
One of the most exciting representatives of
melodic electronic music
first appeared on the scene in 2012 with his own rendition of British
folktronic
band
Mt. Wolf’
s track Life Size Ghost.

Blogs all over the internet practically exploded when the downtempo
chill track
mixed with mild noises and Far Eastern instruments was published. Within minutes it reached hundreds of thousands, catapulting Catching Flies into the main base of fans of the genre.

This was the period when chill out had already gone through lots of changes, thanks to the influence of
post-dubstep
and other modern trends.

The new generation turned the whole genre upside down, with its quality and coolness factor going through the roof. The free EP
Stars
and
The Long Journey Home
, released by
Indigo Soul
, generated even more waves, all of which finally culminated in 2014 in a joint tour with
Bonobo
.

Gelka
has been featured at Warp, Om Records and Ministry of Sound, has produced a total of 15 Café Del Mar compilations, and is by now included in the cream of chillout with the likes of Unkle, Lamb, Moby and Faithless. After releasing a Wax On Records album and the EP Being You in 2014, the band is now in the process of making its second album with exciting vocalist collaborators. In the meantime, they like to explore chill-step, house and garage through their DJ sets. Gelka is not only the most popular Hungarian name on Mixcloud, the band has also received serious backing from the legendary Ibiza Sonica radio.
