A summer in Northern-Italy – this is heaven on Earth for Elio (Timothée Chalamet), a 17-year-old American kid. Every year, he and his parents travel to the same ancient villa for summer where he is surrounded by the same old friends. They have parties, go to the beach, listen to music, talk, and, of course, fall in love.
Elio’s father is an art historian and every year he welcomes one of his students into his home for a few weeks. This time it’s Oliver (Armie Hammer), who’s working on his dissertation and who stirs the harmony – he doesn’t fit in here. He’s too cool, too beautiful, and nobody knows what he wants.
This summer is different. It’s happy and weird, filled with love and sadness. And when it comes to an end, nothing will be the same again.
The movie will be screened in Hungarian with English subtitles.
