The Budapest
Mangalica Festival
will take place for the eighth time in 2015, right in the heart of downtown in Szabadság tér. At the
free
event, visitors can meet breeders and traditional producers from all over the country.
Along with the breeders and traditional producers, Hungarian handicraft artists will also get a chance again to showcase their wares in the street of
handicrafts
. Authentic
folk music programs
, farce performances and
gastro demonstrations
will be held during the day, followed by popular music concerts from the early afternoon. On Saturday, a cooking contest will be organized where participants will put on display their own renditions of dishes traditionally prepared in a cauldron.
