Az ismeretlen görl (The unkown girls) Exhibit

Where were Budapest’s ruin pubs in the 1930’s? How much money did the Duke of Wales spend here for fun? How much did dancer girls entertaining him earn? Which Hungarian aristocrats enjoyed the company of these girls?

A “dancing” used to be the “party hub” and meeting point of Hungarian and international aristocrats, where they could enjoy each other’s company while watching vivid shows. This period was legendary; international newspapers compared Budapest’s night life to that of London, Paris and New York.

This exhibition honors the unknown artists and renown guests of this era.
