This lifetime retrospective of artist András Baranyay (1938-2016) is organised by the Műcsarnok and the MissionArt Gallery. The three-room exhibition features both familiar and little-known pieces. Baranyay put people in the spotlight, but in his works he hid certain human parts, for instance the faces are invisible, not only because of the model settings, but also because of the image cut-outs. He showed himself covered in his self-portraits as well or sitting with his back. Pieces include drawings, lithographs, offset prints, photographs and early oil paintings, each paired with a graphic. Apart from the traditional images, Baranyay's self-portrait animated film including can also be seen. At the same time, the MissionArt Gallery provides details about the friendship between András Baranyay and Dezső Tandori, both artists who inspired each other greatly.
