On December 11 the old downtown
Paloma
art passage will host this year’s last, and by the looks of it a closing kind of, exhibition. A special feature of the exhibition is that viewers for an entire month will be able to enjoy the entire
Alternative Budapest
series and even new items never put on display before.

Opening the exhibition:
Miklós Galla
.
Over a short period of time creator of Alternative Budapest Péter KoPé Kovács has flooded Hungarian and foreign image sharing and social media sites with his
fake photos
of Budapest. The popularity of Alternative Budapest can be attributed to the fact that in these pictures anything can happen that the creative mind is able to imagine. Alternative Budapest has been praised and analyzed at countless exhibitions, on the front page of Index, in articles and interviews.

And with good reason, as the most fantastical figures appear on our well known streets, such as the
Beatles
sashaying casually in front of
Keleti Railway Station
. His imagination has transported the Goa'ulds of Stargate to
Várkert Bazaar
, put a drain under the
Danube
and sent a tornado to
Heroes' Square
.

The victory march of Alternative Budapest started exactly one year ago, as the first exhibition opened in November 2013. Over this past year it has amazed audiences at the ARC exhibition twice, there has been a new exhibition every two-three months, and even such a staggeringly big-scale platform as the Stan Winston School of Character Arts, with its 1.3 million Facebook followers, has discovered the works of KoPé.
