I Love Sushi - Travelling exhibition
f you love sushi, it is time to learn more about this signature dish of Japanese cuisine. At the I Love Sushi exhibition, you can glimpse into the culture of Japan and the history of this delicacy. You can learn how it became naturalized in Japan, how it adapted to the nature, climate and lifestyle of each region, how its culture has flourished to the present day, and what challenges and opportunities lie in it for the future. There is also a section at the exhibition where you can experience what it's like to walk into a sushi restaurant in Tokyo.

Seven Years in Tibet at BEM Cinema
On March 10th, our favourite repertory cinema BEM puts Seven Years in Tibet on the big screen. The film is based on the 'true story of Heinrich Harrer, an Austrian mountain climber who became friends with the Dalai Lama at the time of China's takeover of Tibet.' (IMBD) It stars Brad Pitt and David Thewlis and will be screened in English with Hungarian subtitles.

Mezerg (FR)
The one-man band of the crazy Frenchman Mezerg is an original, entertaining, and incredible production. His electronically based music ranges from simple pop to experimental, although if you think about it, his whole oeuvre is one giant experiment. He can turn anything, any object, into an instrument and make it sound, which is why his work is so exciting, apart from the fact that, although we've seen it before, every concert is like the first we've ever seen. So even though he's been here before, it's still worth attending his spring concert in Budapest.

House Plant Market
Plant shop Pilea Projekt moves in with Lumen Café for a day to offer lush greenery for your afternoon coffee. On March 11th, you can cherry-pick house plants and welcome spring the proper way.
Vintage Clothes Fair at Szimpla Kert
On March 11th (between 12 pm - 5 pm) head to Budapest's most iconic ruin pub, Szimpla Kert, but forget the beer this time. Instead, browse a great selection of vintage and recycled clothes and accessories. The event is not only about shopping though - it is also a meeting place for like-minded people who stand for sustainability.
Terrace opening and pizza picnic
Embrace spring with an outdoorsy event: a pizza picnic. On Saturday (between 11:30 am - 10:30 pm), Paletta Budapest, a bistro with high-quality gastronomy, overtakes the street with good vibes, garden furniture and sourdough-based pizzas.
Decolonize Your Mind Society concert
The Decolonize Your Mind Society, a Hungarian band formed in 2018, has gained much attention and recognition not just in Hungary but around the world with its first album in 2020 (A Courteous Invitation To An Uninhabited Anabatic Prism). They draw inspiration from the music of non-European cultures, untempered tunings, American minimalism and psychedelic, ritualistic music. Now they are releasing their second album, which you can hear live among the first ones at the House of Music on March 11th.

Pancs Farmers' Market
Get ready to fill your tote bag with local goods such as seasonal fruits, veggies, cheese, ham, salami, bread, syrups, jams, juices and wine at Élesztőház's upcoming farmers' market. The courtyard turns into a buzzing marketplace every Sunday (between 9 am - 2 pm) to give space to Hungarian producers. Also, a special guest is invited from the world of gastronomy to host a community cooking, using ingredients supplied by local producers.
WAMP - the Hungarian Design Market
The beloved Hungarian design fair WAMP returns to Bálna Budapest. On March 12th (10 am - 6 pm), you can get your hands on custom-designed clothes, jewellery, and accessories made by Hungarian designers. You can also try gastronomic treats and create something from scratch at one of the creative workshops. Feel free to bring your whole family (including your dog). There is no entry fee.
Yoga and Spa
Spend a relaxing Sunday afternoon with yoga and wellness on March 12th at the beautiful Mystery Hotel Budapest. After 60 minutes of flow yoga, you can enjoy the hotel's Secret Garden Spa for three hours. You can also opt for the spa only, in case the spots for the class get booked. .
