What to see in Budapest's Castle District?

Peek out from one of the seven towers of the Fishermen's Bastion, or admire the colourful roof tiles of Matthias Church. See exquisite pieces from Hungarian and international painters at the Hungarian National Gallery. Have lunch at Baltazár Budapest, 21 Magyar VendéglőAranybástya restaurant or Pierrot Café Restaurant, then treat yourself to a slice of cake at Ruszwurm. On your way down to the river bank, explore romantic stairways and wander around at Várkert Bazár.

Tip: You can enjoy astonishing views from almost any point of the Castle District. However, if you wish to level it up a bit, climb up to the dome of the Hungaria National Gallery (the visit is subject to weather conditions, and you need a valid entrance ticket), or visit the White Raven, the Hilton Budapest's fancy rooftop bar.
