Middle East Food Festival

Prepare your taste buds while iconic Middle Eastern dishes move into downtown Botellón Terasz. Thanks to amazing local restaurants such as Mazel Tov, Hummusbar, Levant, and Oriental Bar, you can enjoy one of the world's healthiest cuisine in abundance. Expect fragrant spices, aromatic herbs, and mouthwatering dishes rich in lean proteins, healthy fats, vegetables, and grains. Falafel, kebabs, hummus, shawarma wraps, freshly baked pita bread, and exotic salads will all be on offer.

Craft Fair on the Quay

A chunk of downtown Pest Quay is car-free on summer weekends, with events popping up on the road between Margaret Bridge and Elizabeth Bridge. This Craft Fair is one of them: you can not only see what's behind the usually locked-up viaduct under tram 2, but also stack up on handcrafted goodies in the meantime. While browsing gorgeous ceramics and jewellery, you can sip on craft beer provided by the team of Viadukt Terasz. In the evening, live music by Rythmic Steps adds to the experience.

Depeche Mode (UK)

The iconic British band Depeche Mode set off on tour after five years of hiatus, which includes a stop in Budapest. And you can still snag some tickets! That means you can sing along to Personal Jesus and Enjoy The Silence at the Puskás Arena on July 28th.

360 Bar presents: Secret Garden Daytime Party

Secret Garden is the daytime party series at 360 Barone of the very first rooftop bars in Budapest. On Saturday, 29 July, dance music, great cocktails and signature refreshments all come with a panoramic view. On the agenda are Marco Grandi, Candyman, Stereostrip, Bettina Nem, and Mandmil & Vartex.

Craft Beer Budapest

Explore 6 of the best craft beer gardens in the city at this mini-festival! On the last weekend of July, you can tour Jégkert, Mad Garden Buda, Mad Kert, Horizont Taproom Terasz, Élesztő Terasz, and Jónás Craft Beer & Food for cooling pints. You can even set off on a challenge and collect stamps, and if you do, you will get the first glass of the 'house beer' at half-price.

Open-air Cinema: Everything Everywhere All at Once

Watch the Oscar-winning film, Everything Everywhere All at Once, under the stars! On July 29th, an open-air cinema is popping up on Hunyadi tér, where you can see how a middle-aged Chinese immigrant sets off on an insane adventure to save the world. The brilliant movie stars Michelle Yeoh, Stephanie Hsu, Ke Huy Quan, and Jamie Lee Curtis. And the best bit? There is no entry fee (so arrive early!). The film will be screened in Hungarian, with English subtitles.

Night of Open-air Baths 2023

This is the time of the year when open-air baths get jazzed up with special events, discounts, and longer opening hours across Hungary. In and around Budapest, four venues participate: enjoy the rare combination of iodine-salt and thermal water at Pesterzsébet Iodine-Salt Thermal & Open-Air Baths. Sign up for an urban getaway of clear water, white sand, palm trees, sunshades, cocktails and beach food at Lupa Beach. Explore an enormous water complex with slides, evoking the tropics and the temple ruins of Angkor Wat at Aquaworld Resort. And step into suburban Budapest at Erzsébetligeti Rátonyi Gábor Pools and Open-Air Baths.

Farmers' Market at Szimpla Kert

Being a true gem in the middle of Budapest' Jewish QuarterSzimpla Kert's farmers' market has been ruling the roost for 10  years now. Every Sunday (9 am - 3 pm), the city's iconic ruin pub is transformed into an open-air market to give space to 30-40 Hungarian producers and their goods. Fill your basket with cheese, honey, jam, syrup, fruit and vegetables and meat of mangalitza and game, freshly picked and dried mushrooms, truffle specialities, spices, and sandwich spreads. Once you are finished with your shopping spree, settle down upstairs for a hearty brunch.

Pöttömkert – A party for kids

Budapest Park, an open-air concert venue, turns a kids' paradise for Sunday. It focuses on little ones by hosting concerts, theatre and many interactive games, which sound like a fun day for the whole family. Children can play board games, try instruments, join workshops, jump around and dance. Live music is on the agenda, too, provided by Rutkai Bori Banda and Eszter-lánc Duett.

Pop-up Market

This weekend (29-30 July), a clothing fair is popping up in the downtown bar Ellátó between 2 pm and 7 pm. You can cherry-pick among second-hand pieces and items that have never been used. You can also get your hands on handcrafted jewellery and other accessories. And after a shopping spree, have a drink at the bar.

Sunday Sundown Party on the Danube

On July 30th, the floating bar PONTOON is hosting a sunset party, which will turn into a moonlit disco. DJs play progressive house tunes, so you can expect funk vibes alongside a stunning view to match the mood.
