If all goes well, a new park at Máriaremete will be ready to open this autumn. Conveniently set near the Dezső Gyarmati swimming pool, the facility with plenty of outdoor activities should prove to be a popular attraction for the many families who live in this leafy part of Buda.

Transforming an underused space bordered by Máriaremetei út, Szabadság utca, Kadarka utca and Áchim András utca, the new park offers various types of recreation. More than 200 trees, communal chess and ping-pong tables, a street workout area, a jogging track, a playground, a basketball court, beach volleyball are all featured, along with a climbing wall and a drinking fountain, plus a driving course especially tailored to children.
