Unleash your inner Jackson Pollock at Fröcskölő

Fröcskölő near main Blaha Lujza tér offers a unique, playful way to relieve stress and have fun by splashing paint around someone else’s basement. Open five days a week from Wednesdays, it requires participants to don goggles and workmen’s clothes, then go wild with the colours provided.

Rákóczi út 40 is where you find the Museum of Sweets and Selfies and, in the basement below, Fröcskölő (‘Splashing’). At the entrance, you receive a canvas, brushes, three lots of different paints and, of course, protective clothing: overalls, shoe covers and goggles, with separate ones for spectators. No other tools or skills are required – get kitted out and get involved!

At first, everyone instinctively starts to paint on the canvas, then they run out of canvas and start daubing the walls with colours. That’s when laughter takes over from art.

Fröcskölő is ideal for groups of friends, stag parties, colleagues, families and, of course, couples. If it’s just the two of you, this is a more original idea than cinema or a dinner, plus you can paint each other, probably the most fun you can have with your (protective) clothes on.

You receive your finished work a day later, as it takes so long to dry, ready to be framed and hung on your own wall.
