Although popular spot Mika Tivadar in Budapest's party district is closing down after more than ten years, there's still another month to party at one of the city's most revered bars.

The Mika Tivadar Mulató és Kert, which opened in December 2010, will be closing down on 23 October, 11 years later. The pandemic and an expensive contract renewal are behind the decision.

Mika is not only a bar, there is also a theatre downstairs, not to mention a cosy garden alongside. What will happen with these is not yet known, but what is certain is that they remain open until 23 October, so there's plenty of time to head over to Kazinczy utca and bid the Mika a fond farewell.
