Lovers of craft beer have something new to celebrate: the opening of MONYO Land in Kőbánya. Described by szüretlen.hu as a 'Beer Disneyland', this new open-air outdoor entertainment venue packs a punch with concerts, brewery tours, good food – and lots and lots of beer. We went to the Grand Opening Party to take this short video and lively photo gallery.
MONYO Land is still unfinished, as organisers explained during the Grand Opening, and is clear by the rather temporary nature of the surrounding structures. However, it’s only the beginning, and it certainly doesn’t detract from the endless flow of beer, nor the superb concert performances.
Wednesday’s Opening Day saw live music in the form of Saya Noé, Tamás Szabó, Cece and Aron, and end-of-night headliner act Supernem.
MONYO Land is located in distant Kőbánya, easily accessible by 98 bus from Kőbánya-Kispest, five stops to Hangár utca. Eventually, MONYO will have its own party bus departing from Blaha Lujza tér, with more information to follow.
Concerts will be held most Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday.s Upcoming acts include Middlemist Red, Fran Palermo, Sena, Bohemian Betyárs, Dé: Nash, Bëlga, Cloud 9+ and Pannonia Allstars Ska Orchestra.
The venue is by Immunity Certificate only and does not afford a lot of shade, so it is recommended to bring your sunglasses, hat and plenty of sunscreen!
