The renovation of the HÉV suburban rail lines to Gödöllő and Csömör, as well as the connection of the HÉV and metro line 2 at Örs vezér tere have prompted a complete rebuild of this transport hub in east Pest between 2021 and 2027. Here’s how it will look.

The Hungarian government and the City of Budapest have reached an agreement on the funding of the new transport centre at Örs vezér tere. Construction of the transit hub will continue over several stages, the first between the beginning of 2022 to the end of 2023

The renovation of the HÉV line to Gödöllő and Csömör, as well as the urban connection with metro line 2 at Örs vezér tere will cost a total of 200 billion forints, and should be completed by 2027.
