KockaPark at the mall in Budatétény is a park in name only. It is actually an extremely large exhibition hall and playhouse, which also houses a separate Star Wars-themed room more than 200 square metres in size, not to mention a huge, expansive terrain table. On winding rails, trains and trams cross each other’s paths between familiar and imaginative buildings. KockaPark raises LEGO® to an almost artistic level and presents you with an experience that no child can resist, nor child-minded adults. And the lifelike replica of Nyugati station will bring out the playful spirit in all of us.

Let’s start right there, playing. Anyone who can still remember nursery will sense all those memories come flooding back when they enter KockaPark. All these things to play with, all this space, where should I start?!? Immediately opposite is that ginormous Nyugati station and surroundings, pirates beckon to you from the left, then from the right is the direction you should take. This, indeed, is where your adventure begins.

Opened in 2017, KockaPark was founded by enthusiastic LEGO® builders and, in addition to wanting to bring together a playhouse exhibition, they sought to bring together the Hungarian LEGO® community. They have taken their dream so far, they are currently the largest and most comprehensive building team. While older builders have been creating newer and newer attractions, budding constructors are also coming to the fore: a huge MALÉV plane is currently on display, the work of a young master builder.

If you go through all the exhibits at KockaPark, you can divide them into three groups. First, there are the official LEGO® editions, then there are versions developed by these builders, supplemented and turbocharged. Finally, filling most of the exhibition, are the constructions dreamt up by the builders, including famous buildings such as Nyugati station and the Great Market Hall, as well as structures that do not exist in reality – like the basilica formed from four different cathedrals around the world.

You can also see tanks, planes, cars, creatures, monsters, movie locations (Star Wars, Avatar, Pirates of the Caribbean, Harry Potter) and fantasy landscapes. These are the elements of the exhibition that show the essence of KockaPark and LEGO® in general: the spirit of a game that requires and develops creativity, in fact, usually encourages it, can only be raised to a new level with an increased and totally liberated imagination.

KockaPark is not just an exhibition hall and playhouse open all year round, but also offers many additional services and events. A children's birthday party can be held within the walls of the gigantic LEGO® empire, as can corporate team-building for adults. They also organise exhibitions at external venues and deliver ready-made playhouses.

Then there is another important element the builders use, to attract LEGO® fans to visit KockaPark more often: the place does not have a fixed, permanent exhibition, but the displays are constantly changing, existing buildings developed, new ones too, and the space rearranged. Just like LEGO®, KockaPark is constantly evolving.
