Just unveiled on Nádor József tér in the heart of town, a public bus stop has been transformed into a greenhouse frame for running plants to grow around. Plans are now afoot to create more features like it around the city centre.

As well providing a pleasant sight in the middle of town, the new plant-friendly bus stop should benefit the microclimate, improving air quality, capturing dust and pollutants, and increasing biodiversity.

The water supply for the running plants is provided by a mechanised irrigation system, but rain falling on the roof will also be used.
