The first permanent exhibition of Fortepan, KultúrFényPont, has just been unveiled at Fény utca Market near the Mammut mall. Fortepan is a free-to-use, community photo archive where thousands of historic images are stored and presented as themed series, all in stunningly high quality.

The exhibition, hosted at the Fény utca Market, will change periodically, to showcase the diverse library which Fortepan has amassed. The exhibition is free to visit. Currently on display is the work of Polish photographer Zofia Rydet, best known for her Sociological Record project in Poland. She also spent time in Budapest, photographing Fény utca Market and the Great Market Hall, work which survives today as negatives. This will be the first time they have been on display for the general public.

In addition, a new POCKET vending machine will be on site, where readers can enjoy short stories and collections of poems – all in Hungarian.
