Maradj Otthon! (Stay at Home!) has been set up by a wide collaboration of Hungarian musicians, festivals, venues and organisations. It has already gained more than 60,000 viewers, tuning in to watch and listen, with more joining every day.

The aim of Maradj Otthon! is to bring a little light into everyone’s living rooms during these upcoming weeks, urging all to stay at home. Viewers can watch live performances from the comfort of their own sofas. This virtual event runs exclusively on Facebook, and is backed by a whole gamut of Hungarian festival and concert organisers.

They have asked more than 100 local bands and artists to share regularly on their own platforms, which will be broadcast through Maradj Otthon! Home and studio concerts are live-streamed.

Popular Hungarian singer Magdi Rúzsa kicked off the event series with a cover, which has been followed by a number of performances by others.

The official Facebook page of the festival can be found here, while the event page where all of the happenings take place is here.
