A new system for buying train tickets in Hungary will go live from 13 December. Called Elvira, its Beta version is currently running in Hungarian for local users to feed back with any problems or suggestions. Customers will soon be able to download their tickets in a handy PDF format.
The Elvira system will be available in English and Hungarian to buy tickets on the state-run MÁV network, which encompasses most trains in Hungary.
