During this trial period, two machines have been set up at each of the two adjoining airport terminals. Each scans the barcode on your boarding pass to produce a machine-printed sticker. You then attach this to your luggage before delivering the whole kit and caboodle to the automated counter.
Hungarian budget carrier Wizz Air has been the first to join the new system but Budapest Airport expects to be able to offer a similar service for other airlines in the very near future.
