Godfather of punk Iggy Pop is coming to Budapest this July. Due to play the Budapest Park, the 71-year-old Michigan legend is still one of the greatest live acts in the business, with a huge back catalogue of tunes to choose from. Tickets go on sale from this Wednesday, 27 March.

A quarter of a century after his first show at the Sziget Festival, 13 years after the last one, Iggy Pop is making a welcome return to Budapest. More popular than ever, partly thanks to his tremendous radio show on BBC 6 Music, Miami-based Iggy last released new product with the acclaimed Post Pop Depression in 2016 but remains a potent force on stage and on film. Favourites to listen out for this summer include Lust for Life, I Wanna Be Your Dog and The Passenger.

Iggy Pop, Budapest Park, 24 July. Super early bird tickets 9,999 forints from 27 March. All information here (Hungarian-only).
