Starting tonight, ruin-bar housemates Instant + Fogasház are celebrating the first anniversary of their union with four big special events. Running until March 17th, this mega-club on Akácfa utca in Budapest’s bar vortex has lined up a long list of DJs and bands to entertain partygoers over this long holiday weekend – and offer free birthday drinks. Distributed around the city are scratch cards that allow you to win a free shot, beer, spritzer or long drink, and raise a glass to Budapest’s biggest and buzziest nightspot. The promotion lasts from tonight through March 17th.
Within the sprawling confines of this vast party complex, Instant + Fogasház have jazzed up the already manic party scene here in District VII. Long established over in Nagymező utca in Budapest’s theater quarter, Instant moved, lock, stock and papier mâché owls, to the city’s bar hub one year ago.
This rambling locale in Akácfa utca now houses several nightspots, with LÄRM and PONT more than making up the numbers. Parties and DJs remain the focus, but entertainment options have widened with spacious cellar rock club.
In similar vein, spinners and live acts fill the agenda of the four-day celebrations, including pop/indie outfit Blahalouisiana from Székesfehérvár, UK Manc DJ Chimpo and local groove merchants Mörk.
