Up in the former Roman outpost of Óbuda, the Árpád Csillaghegy Spring Baths have just been unveiled, adding to yet another feature to Budapest’s renowned aqua attractions. Here, a covered spa complex comprises 12 pools and saunas range from aromatic to panoramic Finnish. During the construction process, Roman-era Celtic inscriptions were found, one of the most exciting archaeological discoveries at this historic site.

Open from 6am until 8pm every day, the brand new Csillaghegy Árpád Spring Baths now welcome sports enthusiasts, spa soakers and local schoolchildren.

Pools suitable for waterpolo matches and lane swimming complement an extensive sauna complex where you can relax shrouded in steam or amid salty air, a special entrance open from the car park in winter.

Another major highlight, the panoramic terrace and pool provide spectacular vistas of Budapest cityscape all year round.

Down below, a children’s play area makes the Csillaghegy Árpád baths even more family-friendly. Kids will also love the two-lane slide park, open throughout the year.
