For the third time now since 2015, an increasing number of restaurants join the worldwide Goűt de France (“Good France”) event to honor French gastronomy and spread the values of this exciting cuisine across the world – including sharing, pleasure, and respect for good food, good company, and the environment. Happening this year on the evening of Tuesday, March 21st, more than 2,000 chefs will spice up the night at deluxe eateries and high-quality bistros of 150 countries, highlighting the potential of France’s palatable pride by proffering healthy dishes made from fresh, seasonal, and local produce, with low fat, salt, and sugar content. Nonetheless, participating chefs have the freedom to integrate quality produce from their own country to the menus of their restaurants during this special evening.
At all of Budapest’s participating restaurants, the Goűt de France menu – which required previous approval by an international committee of chefs appointed for the event – will include an aperitif, an appetizer, a main course made with meat or fish, assorted cheese specialties, and a dessert, while matching French wines and champagnes can be ordered with the meals. Above all, each restaurant is suggested to donate 5% of their profit earned during the event to a charity of their choice, preferably with a focus on health or environmental matters. In Budapest, 11 eateries are hosting the grand gastronomy gathering: Araz, Béterv, Borssó Bistro, Café Dumas, Elysée Bistro, Jardinette, Laci!Konyha!, Larus, Liberté, Paris Budapest, and ZONA.
