With a series of stylishly quick cuts between varied settings of Budapest, an 84-second mini-movie by The Calvert Journal quickly and colorfully presents a full portrait of modern times in Hungary’s capital. By jumping from monumental landmarks to underground clubs to thermal baths to pretty parks, the stunning video provides viewers with a tempting mélange of intriguingly disparate scenes while occasionally reducing its pace to showcase slow-motion footage of the kitchen crew working at Mazel Tov, soldiers marching in the Buda Castle, and many other slices of life in the Magyar metropolis.
While this video by The Calvert Journal was produced last year, it recently gained more global exposure when the British-based National Geographic Traveller website shared the mini-movie as a “video of the week” last month – and we are more than happy to help spread it as well; watch all of “Budapest in 84 seconds” below.
