As we stroll the streets of this stunning city, we mostly see it from down below, and our eyes hardly ever wander up to the oft-ignored skyline that presents more abstractly intriguing scenery. We see it disfigured and untouchable, without an exact sense of closeness, or any idea of how much beauty it has to offer. This photo series invites everyone to this interesting and exciting world that exists just above our line of sight, presenting its unique beauty through compelling compositions.

Beyond portraying the fascinating facades and rooftops of Budapest that all hold architectural significance, this thrilling compilation by We Love Budapest staff photographer Norbert Juhász presents the moldering walls and rickety tin chimneys with compositional sensitively. The city’s street-level sights and statuesque skyline both have their own aesthetics, and one without the other would make Budapest much less sensational.
