The Rózsadomb Panorama Project is a new tender aiming to reinterpret the never-finished concrete structure originally planned to be a hotel of the National Council of Trade Unions, which has stood as an empty eyesore of Buda’s skyline north of Margaret Bridge for some two decades now. Since the 1990s, the abandoned construction site has been waiting for a new, viable purpose, and to finally be finished. Numerous promising ideas were submitted for this competition; here we describe two very exciting designs, one by Építész Studió and one by Lab5 architects.
