2pm - 9pm: Whisky Show 2016 at Corinthia Hotel Budapest During October 28-29, the majestic Corinthia Hotel hosts an intoxicating whisky expo celebrating the finest aqua vitae of Scotland, Ireland, Kentucky, and beyond. Visitors can sample some 100 different whiskies during this high-spirited festival, selecting from an extensive number of top-quality brands like Macallan, Monkey Shoulder, Teeling, Glenfarclas, and many more – and at the Famous Grouse booth, expert Magyar mixologist Zsolt Szombati will offer tastings to match a selection of his own artisanal perfumes. Meanwhile, guests can taste other top-quality spirits including an assortment of rum, cognac, Armagnac, Calvados, and even pálinka, Hungary’s own fruit-based brandy.

at ImpostorFor three days during the last weekend of October, guests at Impostor can devour authentic Neapolitan pizzas made of wheat flour, yeast, sea salt, and some water, while these mouthwatering specialties only take 90 seconds to make in a wood-fired oven. Make sure you come hungry to this pop-up pizza weekend! 7pm - : Romina Giuliani – Loopholes from everyday life at Chimera ProjectRomina Giuliani’s works span mixed-media artworks, including drawings, installations, sculptures, and collaborative projects, while she aims to realize an art of criticism through the observation of human interaction, collective unconsciousness, and behaviors both in private life and society.
This solo exhibition designed for Budapest’s Chimera Project Gallery is formed by heterogeneous interventions and installations through the space. The title of the exhibition encompasses the topic of caducity and uncertainty of life with all weakness, equivocations, and vagueness that it includes. The display is on view through November 4th.
9pm - 12am: 4DSOUND Presents Stimming meets Maarten Vos at 4DSOUNDLong-term 4DSOUND collaborator Stimming is back for another special live concert alongside Dutch cello player Maarten Vos.
Stimming’s continuously evolving 4DSOUND show is entirely instrument-based, including the charismatic presence of the Moog Synth, Micro-Brute, OP-1, Nord Lead 02, an upright piano, and the custom-designed Space Control 01 to move the sounds coming from his analog synthesizers and drum machines in space. All live and completely intuitive, moving the audience’s mind and feet.
10pm - 5am: NIGHTDRIVE & NTS Radio Presents Lawson Benn, Tabitha at Toldi ClubNTS is a London-based radio station built for an international community of music lovers. A platform for the impassioned, it’s a space for hosts and DJs to explore ideas – through sound or otherwise – without limitation or restriction. This time, Lawson Benn, host of the Public Order radio show, and TTB radio show host Tabitha join forces with a top Hungarian DJ crew to make this Friday memorable.

Halloween Food Truck Party at Gundel Restaurant
During the last three days of October, the best food trucks of Budapest roll into the magical garden of Gundel Restaurant. Besides the special delicacies provided during this alfresco culinary extravaganza, several activities entertain visitors, including children’s programs, street music, and nighttime parties, while guests can retreat to the restaurant’s covered and heated terrace if the weather gets chilly.
2pm - : BBU Halloween RUN under the ground at Rottenbiller Park
While many consider Halloween an American extravaganza, its roots reach back to Celtic culture, and while this spooky holiday is mostly celebrated in English-speaking countries, it’s becoming increasingly trendy worldwide, even in Hungary. Those who join the contest can descend to a special subterranean maze that runs under the Kőbánya district of the city, and while traversing the underground tunnels participants can expect lots of excitement.
5pm - 9pm:Halloween at Fashion StreetA jack-o’-lantern and Halloween-costume contest await creative souls on this scary October night along Budapest’s centrally located Fashion Street, where besides playful programs guests can relish a selection of hot food and drinks. Trick or treat – but make sure you show up with your pumpkin already carved to perfection.
7pm - 9pm: Budapest Charity Pumpkin Festival at Heroes’ SquareWarm some hearts this Halloween season and bring your own jack-o’-lantern to Budapest’s Heroes’ Square along with one to three cans of non-perishable food. The edibles will be offered to children in need through the Hungarian Gyermekétkeztetési Alapítvány (Child Nutrition Foundation).
8pm - 11pm: Trio Chemirani at TrafóSince the 1990s, Djamchid and his two sons, Keyvan and Bijan Chemirani, form the Chemirani Trio, an ensemble that plays magical tunes on Persian percussions.
The musicians draw inspiration from Persian poetry and compose modern music with an emphasis on polyrhythm and a variety of sounds. Saturday evening at Trafó, the trio introduces the audience to the infinite possibilities of Persian percussions.Sunday
6pm - 10.30pm: The Silence Of The Lambs at Bem CinemaThe Silence of the Lambs is one of the most taut andsuspensefulpsychological thrillers ever produced. Director Jonathan Demme’s superbly crafted and harrowing film is dark, moody, somber, and truly frightening, yet exhilarating. Ted Tally’s screenplay was based on Thomas Harris’s 1988 best-selling novel of the same title, and it features an unforgettable performance from Anthony Hopkins as Hannibal Lecter, a notorious, cobra-like, intelligent psychiatrist turned psychopath. But the FBI still needs his help… On Sunday, the movie is screening at Budapest’s Bem Cinema at 6pm and at 8.30pm, with original English-language audio and Hungarian subtitles.
7.30pm - 11pm: 1000mods (GR), Grizzly (HU), Blackhoney (HU) at Gozsdu Manó Club1000mods is a Greek heavy-rock band with a dedication to vintage equipment, a thick and heavy analog sound, and remarkably passionate stage performances. Over their career the ensemble played hundreds of gigs with bands like the Black Keys, Graveyard, and Brant Björk, while they also recorded with the almighty Billy Anderson.
8pm - : Recorder Presents Jerusalem In My Heart (CAN) at Dürer KertLed by the zurna and bouzouki virtuoso, Radwan Ghazi Moumneh, a spectacular audiovisual project, is coming to Budapest’s Dürer Kert.
The artist, who blends traditional Arabic music, melismatic singing, and electronic sound pictures is one of the biggest fresh talents of world music!
