Ever since February, Rio Budapest has been like a busy beehive behind the scenes: with warm spring evenings and hot summer nights just around the corner, the club’s been planning a big bash to mark the beginning of the new season. This popular spot, which is now relocated to Hengermalom Road in South Buda, will open its gates this Friday, and from now on, Saturday evenings will be all about lounging on those iconic white sofas, drinking delicious cocktails, and dancing under the stars to the sets of the best DJs. What's more, Rio is turning 15 this year, which is yet another reason to party.

Immediately after the highly frequented nightlife hotspot went on a winter hiatus in September, the clubbing crowd of the Magyar metropolis began counting down until when it would reopen, which will finally happen this weekend. Those hankering for a big summer blowout will soon get the chance to walk into the elegant garden of Rio and get down at a massive, two-day opening fiesta – the lineup already seems pretty promising: April 22, FridayLacora TWINS JULIA CARPENTER Lauer April 23, Saturday Lacora Edo Denova Antonyo Mr. Kaufer

The next event to keep an eye out for will take place on April 29th: in cooperation with WORLD IS MINE, Rio is hosting a highly anticipated gig featuring Australian DJ-producer Timmy Trumpet. The following day the party will move to Kopaszi Dam, where the 5th Summer Calling minifest will bring you the hottest deep-tech house beats and 40 awesome acts to celebrate the beginning of summer.

Rio has a bunch of other cool things planned for the upcoming months, including the hugely popular Classic party series. A heads-up for Cinematiné fans: early-bird tickets for the June 11th event are available through April 24th.
