Condé Nast Traveler also seems to love Budapest nowadays, as in the past few weeks the magazine’s American edition not only highlighted Budapest’s Rózsavölgyi Chocolaterie as one of the world’s greatest shops for fine chocolate concoctions, but soon afterwards the Hungarian capital was featured among the 50 most beautiful places in Europe, included alongside such breathtaking sites as Lisbon, Florence, Paris, Tuscany, or the lavender fields of Provence.
This fresh attention from Condé Nast Traveler follows their honoring the Magyar metropolis in autumn when Budapest earned an impressive second-place finish in the magazine’s Annual Readers’ Choice Awards among the best cities in the world, as well as including seven of Budapest’s hotels on their list showcasing Central Europe’s top 25 hotels.
Now with the fresh launch of Condé Nast Traveler’s 2016 Reader’s Choice Awards, people can already vote to determine the best of the best in the world in select categories, including cities, hotels & resorts, islands, or airlines – and following Budapest’s success in the competition last year, we heartily encourage our readers to give a thumbs up to Budapest in the cities section. Adding to the appeal of this competition, anyone who participates in the poll by taking the survey through June 1st has a chance to win a 15-day European river cruise for two, with the journey departing from Amsterdam, passing nine UNESCO Heritage Sites, and concluding in – drumroll, please – Budapest!
Check the magazine’s website to find out more about the survey.
We wish good luck to all of our readers who participate in this contest, but even for those who don’t win, everyone can enjoy quite a bit of interesting Budapest coverage in both the American and British online editions of the luxury and lifestyle travel magazine, including Budapest’s design scene, recommendations for places to stay here and things to do here, alongside other useful tips for travelers.
