These days, the Budapest nightlife scene can satisfy almost every type of party person, but a few small niches remain unfilled. The newly opened PONT club aims to host one type of good-time get-together rarely seen in Hungary – out-of-control American house parties where almost anything can happen. Operating within the ever-popular Fogas Ház ruin pub, PONT provides the wild atmosphere of illicit high-school gatherings every day of the week, only here we never have to worry about mom and dad coming home early.

The city’s newest nightclub, PONT, recently opened inside Fogas Ház. The choice of this name (meaning “point”) is no coincidence – they owners of the place wanted to create a fixed spot in the city that is open every day of the week, and is accommodating for all types of youths to let their own group dynamic determine what type of party each night will bring.

PONT achieves this with super-minimal plywood furnishings, diverse music, and features that can make an average night exceptional; these include amateur pole-dance competitions, beer-pong tournaments, beer bongs, and other typical accoutrements for American teenagers (except for the fake IDs).

The place can accommodate approximately 150 people. Since the target audience of PONT is mainly young people and university students, the prices are set accordingly: there will be discounted drinks every day, and we can even get a gold card that makes all drinks (that are not discounted on the given day) 15% cheaper.

Naturally, there will be theme parties on every day of the week, namely Metropolitan Monday, All-in Tuesday, Yo! Wednesday, Chaos Thursday, PONT Friday, PONT Saturday, and Finisher. The PONT team has many other unconventional ideas for the future, so check it out and get the point!
