7pm:
Jakub Hošek – “Veggie Buddhist Eco Prince” exhibit opening at Trafó GalleryTrafó Gallery is hosting the first solo exhibition of the Czech artist Jakub Hošek in Hungary. Hošek is one of the most unique and intriguing figures of the emerging art scene of Prague, as he is considered a “total artist”, being a painter and a music promoter and producer at the same time.
One of the signature features of Hošek’s paintings is his very expressive calligraphic style that evolves almost into abstraction, and which at some points is clearly inspired by music typography. The linear painting style of the artist is gravitating around different graphic technics, and has a very peculiar connection with texts, which often conceal self-mythological allusions. The exhibition will be on view through March 27th.
8pm: MOME ZAJ5 at Moholy-Nagy University Of Art and Design This series of events called MOMEZAJ was brought to life to offer a venue for the students of Moholy-Nagy University Of Art and Design, and any other participants willing to present their musical interests. KURO is dedicated to dirty, raging techno music with tribal and industrial influences, and with no compromise. Co-Exit is the duo performance of Áron Porteleki and Adél Juhász; their performance is a flow of improvisations gently matched together, based on visions and dreaming while awake. Vár Be Q finds inspiration in both the ideas of tradition and revolution, and is defined by jazz traditions with influences from blues, funk, and folk music.
11pm: LavaLava & Corvin Club Present – Roman Flügel at Corvin Club After devoting almost his entire life to music via countless aliases (such as Alter Ego, Soylent Green, and Roman IV), Roman Flügel is now focusing on releasing and playing music under his real name. Maybe a night that we won’t forget – but that’s kinda guaranteed.
11pm: Der Morgen Presents Zenker Brothers at LÄRM The Zenker Brothers are Marco and Dario Zenker, techno DJs and producers who also run the celebrated Ilian Tape label. As prolific artists both solo and together, their profile has been rising steadily for almost ten years, with releases on their own imprint, Tresor and Frozen Border. The slow climb to the techno pantheon has culminated with the release of their debut album “Immersion”, a deep-leftfield record that is very engaging thanks to its unique atmosphere and interesting rhythmic patterns, which shuffle and skitter under heavy layers of hazy synths.Saturday

8pm: Emptiness Booking & Go Away Records Present Aviator at Dürer Kert On their Twitter biography, Massachusetts’s Aviator describes themselves as “too mad for the emo gig, too sad for the hardcore gig”.
