Our weekly roundup for the upcoming weekend offers plenty of suggestions for where to go, what to do, and who must not be missed during the next three days. There are always so many happenings to choose from in Budapest – club parties, exhibits, live music, cocktails, performances, and more – but here is our pick of the bunch for the imminent 72 hours or so:

Friday

11am - :
Meaning at Robert Capa Contemporary Photography Center
The idea of the imminent intellectual community of the three artists was conceived by Péter Forgács after seeing the solo exhibitions of the other two artists in 2013: the compare (cf.) by Marcell Esterházy and the NeueOrdnung (New Order) by GáborGerhes. This hypothetical community constitutes the starting point of the present exhibition, titled Meaning. The three artists do not form a collective; Meaning juxtaposes three solo exhibitions in order to explore the connections between the three artistic practices, to get them together, and to testify to their common ways of thinking.

Each interplay is unique and inimitable, which results from new configurations of processed digital data. This kind of phenomenon was an inspiration for artists during the creation of this installation. Their previous St. George’s performance has gone on record as the only occasion we can remember when an act got a unanimous standing ovation at intermission.
