Welcome to We Love Budapest's weekly guide to the weekend: here's where to go, what to do, and who must not be missed.

FridayEsti Kornél, Képzelt Város, BABEL @ A38 Ship, 20:00.
Hungarian alternative, progressive, and post-rock bands gather for some rocking out on the Danube. After the concerts: Tesco Disco!

Képzelt Város was formed by architecture students nine years ago. After several changes in the line-up and expanding to six members, the band is ready to share their vision of experimental post-rock with you. With the addition of keyboard and cello, their sound is different from the usual sound of post-rock bands – and they have a pretty good vocalist too! They've released their last album to date, "Anatolij", in 2013. Esti Kornél and BABEL is about mature pop-rock and ballads. After the concerts: Tesco Disco, with your favorite indie bangers. The Starmans @ Gozsdu Manó Club, 21:00.
The likelihood of David Bowie returning to Budapest is really low, but that shouldn't stop us from enjoying the music he made, especially when it's played by a Hungarian all-star band.

The Starmans is a Hungarian supergroup formed just to play the classic songs of David Bowie, from Life On Mars to Five Years, from Let's Dance to The Jean Genie. Members include Imre Poniklo (Amber Smith, The Poster Boy), Endre Minda (Hangmás, Terrible Ted), Zoltán Kőváry (The Trousers), Balázs Bakó (Supersonic), Zsolt Derecskei (The Bits), Frenk (Hiperkarma, Braindogs), Csaba Neményi (Amber Smith), and some more well-known names. So if you are a fan of the Thin White Duke, this night is for you!Tom Select Presents: Ben Vedren (Live - FR) @ Toldi, 23:00.
Beyond his skills in various artistic projects, Ben Vedren is a musician with a deep sensibility and sense of groove. For many years now, he is deeply involved on the French electronic scene, not only as an artist but also behind the scenes – and now he is coming to give us a taste of how partying is done in France.

Ben – the eAs studio mate/sound engineer – worked with many DJs, and was involved in many productions with artists like Dyed Soundorom, Swayzak, or Jef K. He recently remixed Carl Craig’s Inner Orchestra project for Planet E, and an EP is upcoming on Juan Atkins’s legendary label Metroplex.

Beyond his DJ/producer skills, Ben's musician background naturally guides him to perform live as well – this time, he will start the night with a live set, and later he will also stand behind the decks, making this night even more special. As far as music is concerned, this will be a night of groovy minimal/tech-house!Technokunst Club - Isu, Dork, Grema (Live) @ Lärm, 23:00.
The DJs of Technokunst have always absorbed new trends and kept their finger on the pulse of the genre, so if you are looking for a night out in the Hungarian Berghain, you've just found it!

Unique technique and musical selection – these are the two things that matter for the DJs behind Technokunst. They've already invited some of the biggest names in the scene to Budapest: Oscar Mulero, Blawan, Marcel Dettman, Ben Klock, Lucy, Steve Rachmad, and we could continue this list for long hours. This time the two founders, Isu and Dork, will stand behind the decks to give a taste of the dry, industrious sound of Birmingham.SaturdayMédeia Fiai, derTANZ, Tod Cklorox & His Band @ Trafik, 21:00.
If you are a fan of bands like Swans, Woven Hand, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, and/or noisy, depressed, and loud post-punk and rock, don't miss this!

Labeling its style and music as ''free punk'' – meaning a nasty and unique mix of post-punk, stoner and metal – derTANZ chews the mix and spits it on the crowd, while the guitars play as loud as possible. Feedback, feedback, and music which does not care about the classical structures of music.

Tod Cklorox & His Band is about free improvisation and playing as loud as possible.

Médeia Fiai is like a mix of Swans and Woven Hand – psychedelic folk-blues-noise rock, like an ancient shamanic version of rocking out.UKF: Eptic, Annix, MC Agent @ Corvintető, 22:00.
Who wanna rumble? If you do, don't miss the show of the two hottest names in the UK drum-and-bass scene and the club-shaking local support. Prepare yourself, because this won't be a laid-back night!

19-year-old Belgian prodigy Eptic has been causing a bit of a stir in the bass scene. Since his debut signing to Never Say Die Records with the "Like A Boss" EP that went straight to the top 5 on the Beatport dubstep charts, and rode high in the top 10 for 7 weeks running, he instantly proved his caliber, providing insight into just how big this musical personality will get.

Since then, he has moved on to collaborate with artists such as Habstrakt or Datsik, and made remixes for the biggest names in the scene.

Consisting of members Konichi and Decimal Bass, Annix swiftly moved up the ladder in terms of live performance, and boasts an impressive selection of shows already under their belt – so their set will certainly tear up the dance floor.Kez YM, Crimson, DJ Suhaid, Nermo @ Lärm, 23:00.
The master of funk-fueled nocturnal jams, the Japanese deep-house don, the biggest friend of talents like Moodymann or Jazzanove, is coming for some late-night electro boogie-woogie.

Hailing from Japan, Kez YM has already produced a distinguished discography since debuting on Rotterdam label 4 Lux years ago with his "Sweetly Confused" EP. He has subsequently released tracks on Yore (the acclaimed "City Soul" and "Butterfly" EPs), Deep Explorer, Ragrange Records, Faces, and City Fly – with his soul-infused Detroit beatdown-inspired productions receiving support from influential peers such as Moodymann, Larry Heard, Osunlade, and Cassy. He is labeled as one of the most influential Japanese producers, and he is always ready for spinning his favorite tunes and making you shake your hips like it's the last party on Earth.Garçons – Vampire's Story @ Kasino, 23:00.
A queer party for fashion junkies, posers, models, art-heads and other fun-loving freaks. Underground as well as glamorous, Garçons promises a new era in chic clubbing.

Dance party with the vampire, AKA a bloody good night dressed in your wildest and sexiest clothes, and be part of a bumping gang bang – Kasino will turn into a real blood-red-light district for this night. Be as sexy as you can to make sure that someone will taste you – maybe your blood, maybe something else too.SundayKolor Kinema: Let The Right One In @ Kolor, 19:00.
Let the Right One In reinvigorates the seemingly tired vampire genre by effectively mixing scares with intelligent storytelling.

A 12-year-old boy befriends a mysterious young girl whose appearance in town suspiciously coincides with a horrifying series of murders in director Tomas Alfredson's adaptation of the book by author John Ajvide Lindqvist, who also wrote the screenplay. Oskar is a young boy who can't seem to shake off the local bullies, but all of that begins to change when a new neighbor moves in next door. After striking up an innocent friendship with his eccentric next-door neighbor, Oskar realizes that she is the vampire responsible for the recent rash of deaths around town. Despite the danger, however, Oskar's friendship with the girl ultimately takes precedence over his fear of her.The New Flash, Fuseism, Padkarosda @ MÜSZI, 21:00.
Coldwave and goth-rock-inspired post-punk, and local support!

While their jams may make you want to sulk around your room and dance alone while feeling like shit, they also sound right at home blasting out of a boombox while you sit by some water drinking with your friends. It still sounds urgent, punk, sinister, and desperate. This is exactly what I want in music. Coldwave, goth-punk, and post-punk! Brutal!
