Heineken Balaton Sound is proud to announce a total of 10 new names, joining Björk in the line-up of the festival. Amongst others, this current list includes Avicii, Example, Gossip, Steve Angello and Carl Cox.

Seaside lounges, restaurants, bars and anything you need to enjoy the Balaton sunset, plus a great number of stars on several stages, that’s the already beloved concept of Heineken Balaton Sound. The youngest event in the roster of Sziget
Cultural Management takes place from 12 July in Zamárdi, Hungary and will already celebrate its 6th edition this year. The biggest DJ’s are treated as rockstars all over the world, so it’s not a big suprise anymore to meet them on the main stages of festivals. Many of these great names accepted the invitation to Hungary, so all fans have the possibility to check them out at Heineken Balaton Sound.
But which are these acts exactly?AviciiAvicii is the coolest electro house performer of his generation, probably the most talented representative of the Swedish electronic scene, by now regarded as a superstar of his genre.

Example is approaching hip-hop from the electronic side, entertaining both popular dubstep fans and Calvin Harris believers.

GossipGossip plays indie rock-related dance-punk, highlighted with the remarkable voice of singer Beth Ditto. The band has already recorded four studio albums, played the biggest festivals of the world, reached fame and glory… doing so since the beginning of the 2000s. Not a bad record…

Steve AngelloSteve Angello is a world famous DJ, producer, remixer and label owner, renown for his unrestrained house productions. When not playing solo, he usually teams up with Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso (who played the festival last year) under the well known name of Swedish House Mafia.

Carl CoxCarl Cox, godfather of British techno, also know as the ’three deck wizard’ is one of the most technically refined DJs of all times, inspiring generations of electronic musicians ever since he started playing.

DubfireDubfire is an outstanding DJ, producer and remixer, the ’god of jet-black, polished-chrome techno’, who is always aiming to use the newest technologies to create his dark, inspiring, evoking techno music.

SashaSasha is a big gun of acid and progressive house, one of the true ambassadors of the British electronic scene, who never seems to run out of innovative ideas. A living legend and a Grammy-nominee, starting at the end of the 80s and going on full steam ever since.

DigitalismDigitalism mixes Justice-like crazy energies with the creativity of Daft Punk. The duo is inspired by indie sound and new wave post-punk and their songs are often played by Soulwax, Erol Alkan and Alexander Ridha a.k.a Boys Noize.

Animal CollectiveAnimal Collective catches your imagination in the first second you hear them. Their music is unbelievably complex, the songs are suggestive and take you to a parallel universe that’s constantly changing and charms you with never-seen wonders all the time.

CaribouCaribou comes straight from Canada to unravel their hypnotic, inspiring, psychedelic music. The band led by Dan Snaith will provide a unique show to all fans interested in special electronic productions, but not just to them. Their show is also something for the eyes, bombarding you with psychedelic visuals throughout the gig.
