Renowned historian Yuval Noah Harari gives talk in Budapest
Israeli professor Yuval Noah Harari is appearing tomorrow, Wednesday 8 May, at the Central European University (CEU) to give a presentation on nationalism and globalism.
Yuval Noah Harari is an Israeli historian read by millions around the world. His best-selling books include Sapiens: A Brief History of Mankind, Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow and, most recently, 21 Lessons for the 21st Century.
His popularity is partly due to a new approach to history, a search for answers beyond the usual ones, particularly in the field of biology – and his many public appearances. This month he is giving presentations in Vienna, Hamburg, Bucharest and, tomorrow, 8 May, at the Central European University here in Budapest.
A professor at the Department of History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Harari will be analysing the relationship between nationalism and globalism, underlining that, ‘…only global co-operation can ensure security and prosperity’.
The presentation will be also be streamed live on CEU’s own YouTube channel.
