Downtown Budapest’s Hold Street Market Hall is renowned for its premier street-food eateries, but even though there are plenty of exotic culinary creations by well-known chefs here, lángos remains an absolute must at a place like this. So the interesting part of this story is not the where but the who: Gianni Annoni, Hungary’s most famous Italian restaurateur, opened Fritú with the aim of revolutionizing Hungary’s most beloved anti-health food. The kitchen team always experiments with new flavors, uses seasonal ingredients, and only works with quality dough – and the results are delicious.
