Metro line M4 turns 1, we collect photos of its everyday moments
On 28 March 2014 Budapest’s newest metro line, the M4 was officially launched. The line goes from the Kelenföld stop to the Keleti Railway station along some 7.34 kilometres. The stations are between 14.5 and 31 metres underground, while the platforms are about 80 metres long each. There are 15 trains that run on these tracks, and incredibly the trains are each made up of one long carriage. On average 300,000 – 360,000 passengers travel on the network each day. To celebrate the metro line’s first birthday, we’ve collected some Instagram snaps that show the day-to-day life of the M4 in action!
