The Danube Promenade (in Hungarian: Duna Korzó) is a pedestrian area between the Chain Bridge and the Elizabeth Bridge. The promenade is a popular walking area among locals and tourists also. It is fringed with five star hotels (Inter Continental, Marriott, Sofitel), restaurants, cafés, terrace bars and casinos. You can take pleasure in the best panorama of the Buda side from here. The Buda Castle, the Citadell, Gellért Hill and the bridges of Budapest can be admired during a stroll, or you can just sit in for a drink and pleasure yourself with the view. If the 20th of August fits in your Budapest stay you should definitely book your hotel room here, or at least visit the promenade during the fireworks, because this is the best place in the city to enjoy it. The number one pedestrian area in the city!
