The Millennium Underground Railway, also known as metro line 1 or the yellow line was the first subway line in Hungary, and the second one in the world after the London subway. It was opened in 1896, as part of the Millennium project. It connects downtown Budapest (Vörösmarty tér) with the City Park, till Mexikói út. Most of its track runs below the surface of the Andrássy Avenue. Today it is operated by the Budapest Transport Ltd, but its stations have been preserved in their original condition. It is a real curiosity, stations are like travelling back in time, it is real fun to travel with.
You can find the actual timetable of Metro Line 1 here.
