The Citadel (Hungarian: Citadella) is the most famous and the most popular lookout in Budapest. It is a fortress on top of the Gellért Hill, 140 meters above the Danube. It provides unbeatable panoramas of the city including the Buda Castle, the Parliament, the bridges of the Danube, the whole Pest side and the Buda hills. On the Citadel can be found among others the Statue of Liberty, a restaurant, the Citadella Longue and other facilities. The Citadel is the number one tourist attraction of the city.
