Victor Vasarely spent most of his life in Paris and he became a world-famous painter, but he never cut his connection from his homeland. He has had exhibitions all around the world during his long and bright career and he has left prominent art collections in Europe and the US. He was honoured with several international distinctions and wards for his art, among other by the UNESCO. Most of his work may be admired in museums today: in Gordesban and in Aix-en-Provence in France and also in Pécs (his birthtown) and last but not least in Budapest.
